The Bridge of Spies

This post is about the movie I've watched last night, in general, it was amusing, interesting and intelligent movie, even some scenes were to remember for ever after, but it was not as delightful and as dazzling as it might be. there was a long list of dents here and there, sometimes, exemplification was too uatural, and you may pick points of extravagant exaggerations... I will definitely recommend it to whoever enjoy documentary style biographical movies who has spare time for a two hour some minutes. but if I tell you by what extent there was deficiencies... "would it help"!?

the movie is set in midst of the cold war, in late 50's and early 60's, in US and East German Berlin, the story first introduce a cold blooded british born painter and soviet agent living in New York City and gathering information for Soviets... he get captured by US intelligence and interrogated but nothing have been found out. an Insurance lawyer has been determined to help him as lawyer hence he does not have any experience regarding criminal legal system, just to show that the system is caregiving even to the apparent criminals and spies. he aquiesce to defend him and do his best to save his life from electric chair, with intriguing the judge for the spy's value in case to swap with another american valuable person.

in a top secret mission with U-2 aircrafts, flying in very high altitude, photographing secret soviet facilities, a CIA trained american pilot get caught by soviets, then the lawyer get an unofficial mission to travel to Berlin and negotiate to swap their guy to the soviets one. yet in the time he arrive in berlin, they tell him he also should negotiate to release an american economic student accused of espionage and withheld in Eastern Berlin. but soviets repudiate as the student is under Eastern German Democratic Republic control and not theirs, also Easterns abysmally irritated as not being renowned by USA, reject any help.

after some negotiations and some problems, finally the Eastern accept to swap the soviet spy to either one of them and US Intelligence agents enforce the lawyer and negotiator to accept soviets offer to swap the pilot for spy, but the lawyer, thinking of the young student, gamble the whole game and eventually win two birds with a single stone.

The movie is sexual content free, and it's ok even for younger children, as long as they understand what's going on in the movie, it is also almost violent free, except a scene where East German soldiers shot four persons trying to get across the border,the BERLIN WALL.
